The meeting will be upstairs at the Blue Posts ,28 Rupert Street , W1D 6DJ,at 630pm. on Monday July 13th
The Foundations CEO Brian Dolan and it's Pakistan country manager, Dr Rubina Gullani, will be presenting on the work of this great Australian blindness organization, which carries on the work of the late eye surgeon Professor Fred Hollows.
In partnership with the Rudd Labor Government the Foundation is working towards the elimination of avoidable blindness in the developing world and amongst Indigenous Australians.
The Government has delivered a record boost to Australia's overseas aid program - including a commitment to eliminate avoidable blindness in the Asia Pacific region.
It has also made available $55million to eliminate trachoma and ear infection amongst indigenous Australians
The foundation works in 18 countries throughout the world and has restored sight to over one million people - sometimes for as little as
$25AUS.
Last year The Fred Hollows Foundation restored sight to 176,000 people throughout the world as a result of the support of the Australian public
and Government.
This is an opportunity to hear the difference an Australian organization is making and the impact on the lives of disadvantaged people the election of Labor is making - from the people who are working at the coal face to make it happen.
